One-on-One English Language and Communication Training for employees of ServiceTitan

Following our pilot program in September 2019 with a team of ServiceTitan developers, we understand even better the range of language learning needs at your company.  

Our one-on-one, remote training format will address business English skills or English for general purposes – informal communication in the community and idiomatic or stylistic English in American culture.  Training sessions take place using Zoom Conferencing, allowing great scheduling flexibility.

Course Title:  Communicating in Business or General Situations – 1x1 Training via Zoom

Participants choose up to three areas of Coaching Focus: 

Coaching Format:

  • 15-minute assessment meeting or update to identify training priorities and goals
  • 12 sessions (45-min. per) of 1x1 coaching with David Kertzner via Zoom Conferencing
  • Web-based learning activities including recording activities with audio and text feedback
  • (optional) 12 additional sessions at reduced rate after first 12 sessions completed

 Detailed Description of Skill Focus Areas

Focus Area: Producing Clear Speech - Pronunciation and Accent Modification 
Work on pronunciation issues particular to native language groups while learning skills that would help anyone (including native speakers!) be more easily understood. 

Focus Area: General English 
Review and build on all the skills you learned long ago in school - including Vocabulary and  Grammar.  Apply learning to discussions of everyday life and get lots of feedback on what you say and what you think you hear. 

Focus Area: Presenting Information Clearly and Concisely 
Deliver tight, impactful presentations of information (less than 5 minutes) for scrum meetings or on concalls or with clients, marked by clear thinking and control over delivery. 

Focus Area: Business English Writing
Address challenging grammar points and document structure for e-mail, technical writing, performance reviews and other documents. 

Focus Area: Understanding American Culture in Business and in the Community
Develop understanding of American (multi)culture, leading to better communication at work and outside of work. Read articles and explore characteristics of the American multicultural environment. Learn the language of ‘code switching’ for different situations.
